Hello, and welcome to Wild Mare Charters' web site. We are your hosts, Bob and Marilyn Wagner. We invite you to visit us and get a taste of the "real" Alaska here on beautiful Kodiak Island. Come discover Alaska the way you always dreamed it could be, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Bob Wagner

I have lived on Kodiak Island since 1977. I am a former commercial fisherman, i.e., King/Tanner/Dungeness crab, Salmon, Halibut (still commercial fish halibut with IFQ's). I am also an avid hunter.

Marilyn Wagner

Marilyn was born in Kodiak and was residing in the village of Ouzinkie at the time of the Great Alaskan Earthquake. Marilyn is a former Manpower Coordinator during the construction of TransAlaska Pipeline and is currently an Administrative Assistant and member of the Native Village of Port Lions.

Bob & Marilyn reside in the village of Port Lions, which is located near the mouth of Kizhuyak Bay on the North Coast of Kodiak Island. Accessibility is only by water, small airstrip airplanes & seaplanes. Also the State Ferry Tustumena has scheduled trips into Port Lions twice week. (currently on dry dock until April 2009). Our cabin is also located up inside Kizhuyak Bay.

We enjoy sharing the Kodiak Island experience with others and look forward to letting you discover our rustic little corner of paradise.
